Ice Hockey: Unionville ties W.C. Rustin, ends pointless slump

WEST GOSHEN — One team was trying to change its fortunes while the other was trying to stay on the right path.

But neither could completely succeed in its goals as West Chester Rustin and Unionville ended in a 2-2 tie in a Ches-Mont showdown Friday night at Ice Line.

“Both teams needed a good night,” said Rustin head coach Nick Russo. “It’s kind of funny it ended up in a tie. I wanted it as bad as (Unionville’s coach) did, but I guess we’ll have to share the point and just be happy for Thanksgiving.”
