Ice Hockey: Rustin, Henderson battle to thrilling tie

WEST GOSHEN — Two teams battling to climb to the top of the standings duked it out for 60 minutes in an all-out, evenly-matched fight which left everyone in attendance wanting more.

West Chester Rustin was trying to bounce back from a tough loss while West Chester Henderson tried to build off a solid win earlier this week, but they instead came away with a 1-1 tie in a Ches-Mont showdown at Ice Line Friday night.

“If you’re a pure hockey fan, that’s probably one of the best hockey games you’ll see in a long, long time,” said Rustin head coach Nick Russo. “Shots were even, hits were pretty even, penalties were pretty even and chances were pretty even. It was just a really good game. Both teams have a lot of character.”
