Ice Hockey: Balanced scoring leads Unionville over D-West

WEST GOSHEN — What makes Unionville assistant coach Dave Elvin proud of his team is the fact he can’t single out one player on his team.

That’s because the Indians boast such a talented, well balanced team which has yet to lose a game and continued with an 8-1 win over Downingtown West in a girls varsity game Monday night.

“The biggest thing is we have a very unselfish team, which always seems to show itself on the scoresheet as well,” Elvin said. “Everyone contributes and it’s a very even and balanced attack all the way around. We’re thrilled.”

Even when faced with a team boasting a solid goaltender such as Downingtown West’s (3-7) Anna Diehl — who happens to be a freshman — the Unionville (6-0-1) girls continue to find ways to win.
