Forwards
Brett Christie, Sr., West Chester Rustin: Christie has always been able to make a name for himself on Rustin and his senior year was no different. Though he played in just 15 games this season, Christie still led his team in points (32) and goals (18). Once again, his play was elevated in the postseason, finishing with nine points in three games during the Flyers Cup tournament, including a perfect cross-crease pass on the game-winning goal in the final five minutes of the semifinal game against Unionville. He also chipped in two goals in the State Championship game.

Eddie Russell, Jr., West Chester East: Playing in 18 games this season, Russell had at least a point in all but three contests. His 24 goals this season led his team and tied him for 19th among all boys varsity forwards in the ICSHL. With 13 assists, Russell finished with 37 points on the season, best for second overall on his team, trailing behind only captain Chris Rodier. Russell could also be counted on to step up when needed, scoring a season-high five goals in one game when his team was struggling with the flu, and he also had six game-winning goals.

Gera Poddubnyi, Jr., Bishop Shanahan: Only one boys varsity player in the ICSHL had more goals than Poddubnyi as the junior, in his first year with Bishop Shanahan, scored 46 goals in just 18 games. Poddubnyi has multiple games with two or more goals — twice he had six-goal games and his highest of seven came early in the season. He was a positive addition to a team which struggled to fill its roster. He helped Shanahan goal average rise from 3.83 goals per game to 4. It may not seem like a large increase, but for a team with only 12 skaters, it makes all the difference. Assisting on 17 goals, Poddubnyi finished the season with 63 points.

Defensemen
Ryan Hassiepen, Sr., Avon Grove: The move from the DSHA to the ICSHL didn’t slow down Hassiepen as he finished the season sixth in points (33) among all boys varsity defensemen. Even as a blueliner, Hassiepen chipped in 13 goals, good enough for fourth on his team and his 20 assists put him at second. All his numbers were an increase from his junior year in the DSHA, where he posted eight goals and 19 assists. His five points in the South Conference Championship game tied his season high.

Michael Eland, Jr., West Chester East: Eland was a staple on West Chester East’s blueline, playing in 18 games and usually chipping in a point or two in all but six games. He also added three assists in two games during the Flyers Cup tournament, which tied him for third among defensemen in the A bracket. Two of his four goals during the regular season came as game-winners, while the other two were on the power play.

Goaltender
Jason Grande, Jr., West Chester Rustin: Grande, as a junior, has been the starter for his team since his freshman year and since that time, he has also backstopped the Golden Knights to two consecutive Ches-Mont Championships, three consecutive Flyers Cup Championships and three consecutive State Championships. That’s quite an impressive resumé. His stats have also always been at or near the top in the league, this year going 15-1-2 with a 2.21 goals-against average and .913 save percentage. His Flyers Cup stats were even better with a 1.70 goals-against average and .936 save percentage.
