Ice Hockey: Unionville girls get first blemish on record

WEST GOSHEN — As the old cliché goes, all good things must come to an end.

For the Unionville girls ice hockey team (9-0-1), that moment came Friday night at Ice Line against Downingtown West (5-3-1) in an Inter County Scholastic Hockey League game which ended in a 2-2 tie.

Though it’s not considered a loss, it still puts an end to the undefeated season Unionville had going.

“We have a little bit of a spot on our record,” said Unionville assistant coach Dave Elvin. “I think it’s indicative of the break and being away for a little bit. That’s a very, very good team, too.”
